Overview
This project originated from a request by a consulting agency in Madrid, who asked me to create a design proposal for one of their clients. TripEasy is a mobile app concept aimed at young travelers (ages 25–35) who want to plan group trips in an easy, collaborative, and visually engaging way.
The challenge was to redesign five key reference screens.
I was responsible for enhancing the visual structure and hierarchy, defining a brand identity, refining UI components and interaction states, and prototyping flows to validate the user experience.

Research, Moodboard & Logo
The project began with a short but targeted UX/UI research phase, exploring travel, lifestyle, and social apps to identify visual trends relevant to a young, digital audience used to clean, intuitive interfaces.

Screen Redesign
I reimagined core screens, applying principles of information architecture, UI consistency, and user-centered design:
Home Screen
Hero visual with travel illustration.
Simplified hierarchy, emphasizing primary actions: “Create Trip” and “Explore Destinations.”
Explore Destinations
Improved grid layout for easier scanning.
Floating filters and destination cards to inspire exploration.
My tips
Upcoming events, past events and cancelled events.
Trip Summary
Modular, clean layout highlighting dates, costs, and participants.
Visual indicators for quick itinerary understanding.

Prototyping
I built an interactive prototype in Figma to validate the navigation flows:
Creating a trip from the Home screen.
Exploring and saving favorite destinations.
Collaborating with friends in the planning process.
Testing confirmed that the experience was not only visually engaging but also functional, intuitive, and easy to use.
Outcomes & Learnings
The project delivered a cohesive visual identity tailored to the target audience, along with a set of redesigned screens that balance clarity, collaboration, and dynamism.
The prototype demonstrated an intuitive flow for organizing group trips, validating the app’s ability to make travel planning both simple and engaging.
Key learning: A consistent visual hierarchy are essential to support scalability while ensuring an engaging user experience.
